In the sprawling city of Kuala Lumpur, visual character is critical to establishing an identity for a retail/office complex. Working closely with a team scattered across multiple locations, R/Hdo’s first task was to facilitate group consensus on the project design by constant communication and coordination throughout the multiple iterations and refinement of the original design. This team approach to design resulted in the successful integration of interior and exterior spaces, with thematic colors and forms repeated throughout the office complex. In a site constrained by existing development and subsurface structure, RH/do’s design created a series of people-friendly spaces encircling the project perimeter. These spaces, together with dense, lush planting, intense paving patterns and colors, and unique water features unite to make this retail/office complex stand apart from the crowd.
