Located at the nexus of the Valencia Town Center, the Entertainment Center is designed to function as the primary public gathering space. The Entertainment Center features a multi-screen theatre, restaurants, books stores, and other uses that promote gathering and interaction by providing abundant informal outdoor seating, outdoor dining areas, and a major public fountain.
The paving design recalls patterns found in ancient European plazas, with a contemporary twist. A mixture of Lithocrete and colored concrete with a sand-blasted finish create a rich and varied ground plane. Abundant planting provides shade required for outdoor seating areas while maintaining view corridors to the theatre marquee and storefronts. Plant species provide year round interest through seasonal flower displays and fall color. The custom fountain provides a landmark element and delightful sound that enlivens the outdoor space.
